Merck – site tour in Darmstadt (1.5 hrs)

We will take you on an exciting tour of the Merck campus, where you will gain an insight into various innovative research and production areas.
Delve even deeper into the three business sectors and the history of the company and experience how Merck is shaping the future!

We invite relevant visitors and partners as well as groups with a STEM focus (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) from our environment to site tours.

These include, among others:

• Institutions and interest groups from the local area
• School classes from Year 8 with a STEM focus
• Career guidance groups
• Students on technical or scientific degree programmes

Information for visitor groups

Meeting point and duration
The meeting/starting point for the plant tours is the visitor reception in the Innovation Centre, Frankfurter Str. 250, Building B31. Please arrive at the visitor reception at least 15 minutes before the start of the tour to speed up admission and allow approx. 2 hours for the entire site tour.

Bus
The host/Darmstadt Marketing will organise a bus. If the group arrives by bus, the guests get off at the car park and walk with the guide to the visitor reception. The empty bus drives onto the site via the access road in Virchowstraße and picks the guests up again in front of building A3.

Pre-registration of guests
Groups are registered at the visitor reception by Darmstadt Marketing. So that we can prepare the visitor passes in advance, please register participants at least 1 week (5 working days) before your visit using a list of participants.

Please provide further information about your group in the ‘Additional remarks’ field, e.g. participants with wheelchairs or walking aids.

Safety instructions for guided tours on the Merck site

Access authorisation
Visitors receive their visitor badge at the reception in B31 - Innovation Centre.

Please wear your badge visibly at all times while you are on our premises. This badge must be handed in when leaving the site either at the visitor reception (B31 - Innovation Centre), main gate (W50) or at one of the turnstiles.

Please note that an identification check is required when entering the premises of Merck Darmstadt.

This can be done with one of the following documents:

• Passport
• identity card
• Children's ID*
• Student ID*

*Children's and school ID cards are only recognised by the visitor reception for persons under the age of 16!

Please ensure that all participants have one of these valid documents to hand. Thank you very much!

General prohibitions - Not permitted:

• Smoking (incl. e-cigarettes, also prohibited in the vehicle)
• taking photographs
• the use of mobile phones (in designated areas)
• dogs
• alcohol
• Open fires
• Wearing headphones (outside buildings, incl. headset)
