Since 1811, the Herrngarten has also been open to the 'normal people' and has since developed into Darmstadt's 'gute Stubb' and green lung in the city center. The adjacent Prinz-Georgs-Garten impresses with its geometric borders, fountains and sundials - and the delicious vegetables that the gardeners grow there and sell in the nursery.
