Description
The Staatstheater Darmstadt is a multi-genre theater with opera, dance and drama productions. The guided tour provides exciting insights behind the scenes of the big house. Here you can see how impressive stage sets and numerous costumes are created in the various workshops, where assembly, painting, tailoring, welding, planning and rehearsals take place.
There is hardly any other place where so many professions work together on one product; craftsmen, artists and administrative staff all play their part in a great stage story.

During regular theater operations, the stage of the Großes Haus can be visited only upon availability!
