Our house is situated at the foot of the Walmberg, in a quiet location, only a few minutes' walk from the centre of the village, the outdoor swimming pool and the spa gardens. In summer, central starting point for many hiking trails. In winter, ski school, ski kindergarten, cross-country ski runs and winter hiking trails are in the immediate vicinity. Reit im Winkl climatic health resort According to Wikipedia, the title "climatic health resort" is awarded to "places whose air and climate, according to an expert opinion, have properties that are conducive to recreation and health. Reit im Winkl was designated a climatic health resort in 1956 and since then has repeatedly met the requirements for the certificate by making efforts. For one thing, the altitude ensures that the summer heat remains moderate and the nights pleasantly cool. The village is surrounded by extensive mountain forests of the Chiemgau Alps and belongs to the "Bavarian Alps" climate district. The weather character is decisively determined by the conditions, i.e. by the influence of the mountain ranges and the valley incisions on the weather pattern. Arrival Description

Leave the motorway A8 Munich-Salzburg at the exit Bernau and turn left in the direction of Grassau - Marquartstein and from there in the direction of Reit im Winkl. Once there, turn right at the Maibaum (Tourist Info) in the direction of "Am Hauchen", turn left at the Cafe Neumaier, after approx. 10 m turn right into Walmbergstrasse. First house on the left is No. 3.
