Our family-run and personally managed Hotel Georgenhof is located in the heart of Schönau am Königssee in a particularly quiet southern location, directly on the edge of the forest. Our hotel is framed by the mountain massifs of the Berchtesgaden Alps. The Hotel Georgenhof offers a large garden with sunbathing lawn, café terrace and a winter garden with open fireplace. A large parking lot is available for our guests in front of the hotel. Also for a winter vacation in the Alps National Park Hotel Georgenhof offers the best conditions. In the immediate vicinity you will find cleared hiking trails, cross-country ski trails, ski slopes, ski schools with ski rental, natural toboggan runs and the internationally known bobsleigh and toboggan run. Relax in the sauna or solarium or with one of our wellness massages. From the nearby bus stop or on foot you can reach the Königssee, the center of Schönau am Königssee or Berchtesgaden in a short time. The nearby hiking trails lead you directly to the peaks and huts of the surrounding Berchtesgaden Alps. Our hotel has been awarded with the state award "Umweltbewusster Hotelbetrieb".

Arrival Description

You drive from the A8 Munich direction Salzburg. Take the exit Bad Reichenhall. This is the last exit before the Austrian border. (VIGNETTENPFLICHT!) From Bad Reichenhall on the B20 follow the signs to Berchtesgaden.you will pass through the towns of Bad Reichenhall, Bayerisch Gmain, Hallthurm and Bischofswiesen and finally come to the large traffic circle at the Berchtesgaden train station. There, take the Schönau driveway and drive uphill along Oberschönauer Straße. Follow Oberschönauer Straße for about one kilometer until you see the sign "Hotel Georgenhof". Turn left there into Modereggweg and follow the road until you reach the Hotel Georgenhof.
