Historic hotel in the heart of Regensburg with a tradition dating back to the 18th century

Built in the 12th century, the “Arch” belonged to the Gumpelzhaimers, a patrician family from Regensburg, in the 18th century. For more than 20 years now, guests from all over the world have been able to experience history up close at the Altstadthotel Arch.

During the complete renovation, special attention was paid to preserving the building. The 87 rooms create a unique atmosphere with historical elements, antiques, and loving details. High-quality textures and warm lighting elements round off the living comfort.

At the beginning of 2023, newly renovated rooms were added, which impress with their purist design and the use of selected natural materials and exclusive fabrics with a modern color concept. But here, too, there is a touch of nostalgia, for example in the form of huge historical photo prints. These show Regensburg as it once was and give the rooms a flair that only history can create.

In the morning, enjoy breakfast in our newly renovated breakfast room – complete with Gothic pointed arches and a view of the beautiful Haidplatz square.

Conditions/extras

Deposit:

A credit card is required to guarantee your booking. The credit card will be charged the price of the accommodation once the free cancellation period has expired. Alternatively, you are welcome to make a bank transfer.

Cancellation policy:

Cancellations up to 14 days prior to arrival are free of charge, cancellations between 14 and 7 days prior to arrival will be charged at 50% of the total cost, and cancellations within 7 days prior to arrival will be charged at 100% of the total cost.

Directions & parking:

You are welcome to drive up to the hotel to load and unload. However, we recommend parking directly in the parking garage at the theater and walking to the hotel (approx. 4 minutes).

Please note that since January 15, 2018, the city center has been designated an environmental zone and may therefore only be accessed with a green sticker.
