Description

Welcome to the Homerhof! Our fully managed farm is located in Rottau, directly between the Bavarian Alps and Lake Chiemsee. Quiet and centrally located, it is the ideal starting point for many outdoor activities such as hiking, biking or a boat trip on Lake Chiemsee. As a family-run business, you can look forward to a warm welcome and a family atmosphere. We have 5 guest rooms on our farm. Of these are 2 family rooms, 1 apartment, and 2 double rooms spread over 2 floors. On the first floor there is the lounge where we usually serve the rich breakfast buffet. Due to the current situation we will serve breakfast in the rooms until further notice. In the garden there is a sandbox, a trampoline and a swing for children. Also a grill is available and can be used by all guests. Currently we are in the process of building a playpen for our cows, as we attach great importance to animal welfare. In our stable there are dairy cows, heifers, calves and oxen. Our family rooms make us especially suitable for families.

Environment description

Wir wohnen da wo es sich lohnt Urlaub zu machen! Nämlich im 1000 Einwohnerort Rottau im wunderschönen Chiemgau. Im Süden unseres Ortes befindet sich unser Hausberg der Gederer. Von Rottau aus lassen sich die umliegenden Berge wunderbar bewandern oder mit dem Rad erklimmen. Der Chiemsee liegt von uns 3 Km im Norden und ist Pflichtprogramm wenn man hier Urlaub macht. Unser Ort bittet den Gästen 3 Gasthäuser zum Abendessen die alle zu Fuß erreicht werden können. Ein Naturschauspiel bei uns ist auch die Kendlmühlfilze und das Torfmuseum.

About the host

Wir sind Uschi und Hans mit den Kindern Magdalena und Korbinian. Wir betreiben unseren Hof im Vollerwerb mit Milchviehhaltung. Wir freuen uns immer wenn wir unseren Gästen unsere Tiere und die Landwirtschaft näher bringen können. Die von unser erzeugten Lebensmittel bieten wir unseren Gästen morgen beim reichhaltigen Frühstücksbuffet an. Wir wohnen im Erdgeschoss des Bauernhofs und somit ist es auch möglich dass man die Kinder morgens auch mal hört oder dass irgendwo ein Spielzeug liegt.
