Welcome to the Auerhof in beautiful Chiemgau - your home away from home! We look forward to welcoming you to our farm and making your stay a pleasant one. Our apartment is characterised by its inviting, traditional atmosphere and rustic charm. From your balcony, you have a wonderful view of the mountains or, alternatively, our farm. Every morning, you can pick up your ordered bread rolls, milk and eggs from the farm right outside your apartment door. The location of our accommodation is a paradise for nature lovers and active holidaymakers. Right outside our door, the fascinating Chiemgau mountains stretch out with countless hiking and cycling trails. Breathe in the fresh mountain air and let yourself be enchanted by the beauty of nature. In just a few minutes, you can reach nearby Aschau or the mountaineering village of Sachrang by car or public transport. There are many opportunities for winter sports enthusiasts and various shopping options. Our farm with dairy cows, chickens, goats, rabbits and fish also includes an alpine pasture on the nearby Spitzstein. Please note that dogs and other pets are unfortunately not allowed on our farm.

Environment description

Our farm is situated between Aschau im Chiemgau and the mountaineering village of Sachrang - two places brimming with opportunities to experience nature. Hohenaschau Castle towers above the valley, offering impressive views, whilst nearby Herrenchiemsee Palace is a cultural highlight that never fails to impress. Traditional Bavarian festivals lend the region its special charm. Cities such as Munich, Salzburg and Kufstein are easily accessible. Culinary connoisseurs can look forward to hearty Bavarian fare as well as fine gourmet cuisine. Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy all year round: in winter, family-friendly slopes in Sachrang and nearby ski resorts in Austria beckon, whilst in summer, varied hiking trails, alpine and mountain tours, as well as mountain bike and cycling routes, are waiting to be discovered.

About the host

Guest rooms are also available at the Auerhof. You are welcome to book breakfast on site. Please note that during the low season, this is only available on request and subject to prior booking. If you are travelling by car, free parking is available right next to the property, and you can also enjoy free Wi-Fi throughout the building. Please note that dogs and other pets are not permitted.

tourism tax / plus tourism tax The prices quoted are exclusive of tourism tax, which is EUR2.00 per person/night. For children and young people aged 6 to 15, the visitor's tax is EUR1.80 per person/night. Children up to the age of 5 are exempt from local tax. You pay the local tax for the municipality of Aschau i. Ch. directly to your host.

Arrival Description

The Auerhof is located on the left-hand side shortly after you leave Aschau, heading towards Sachrang. Drive through the village of Aschau im Chiemgau towards Sachrang; continue for about 1 km after the 'Aschau' sign, then you will come to Außerwald. Turn left at the sign and drive straight on towards our farm.
