Stunning views & exciting stories - Dresden between heaven and earth

Enjoy two Dresden highlights in one combined package:
Special city tour & stunning views from the Dresden Castle Tower

City tour:

With short anecdotes and long stories, our experienced and licensed tour guides bring Dresden's past to life.

We will lead you entertainingly through the dark Middle Ages, experience the power of the Renaissance, and let the glorious Baroque era shine for you. We will search for traces of the Peaceful Revolution of 1989 and learn what moved people.

Our city walk route:
Neumarkt with Frauenkirche, Semperoper, Zwinger, Residenzschloss, Brühlsche Terrasse, Fürstenzug, Stallhof, Katholische Hofkirche, Taschenbergpalais, Augustusbrücke, and an interesting search for traces awaits us. Let yourself be seduced by a journey through time!

In small groups, we will delve into the past and present and turn you into a Dresden insider.

duration: Approx. 90 minutes
meeting point for the city tour: Lower level of the QF Passage (Neumarkt 2, next to the Frauenkirche) at the entrance to the Dresden Information Center.

Before or after the city tour, you can enjoy the stunning view from the Dresden Castle Tower (Hausmannsturm) at your own pace.

A different take on Dresden: Treat yourself to the most beautiful view of Dresden's Old Town. The Castle Tower (Hausmannsturm) reaches a height of just over 100 meters and is the tallest tower in Dresden's Old Town.

There's no dragon waiting for you in the Castle Tower, but rather a regal 360° panoramic view of the historic Old Town with perfect views of the Frauenkirche, the Semper Opera House, and the Elbe Valley landscape.

The climb itself is an experience. The octagonal tower is the oldest part of Dresden's Royal Palace. Inside, you can marvel at the workings of the old clock tower, for example.

Enjoy the colorful murals in the palace courtyard depicting scenes from the Queen of Sheba's visit to King Solomon in the royal palace in Jerusalem or the visit of the Three Wise Men to the Christ Child in the stable in Bethlehem.

Once at the top, you can enjoy a view far away from the hustle and bustle of the magnificent Elbe Valley landscape, all the way to the peaks of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains to the east and Meissen to the west.

The viewing platform offers the most beautiful motifs for your vacation photos and selfies.

Only flying is more beautiful, perhaps... Our special insider tip for your visit to Dresden.
