Built in the 18th century by August the Strong, as a pledge of love to his mistress, and faithfully restored in 1995, the five-star luxury hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden is a beautiful combination of historic glory and contemporary elegance.

Directly located in the very heart of Dresden's historic centre, the Taschenbergpalais offers 213 rooms including suites and culinary excellenece from restaurant the Palais Bistro, Café Vestibül and the award-winning Karl May Bar. The historic inner courtyard is an oasis of relaxation during summer and turns into a sparkling ice rink in wintertime.

In addition to a pool, spa lounge and fitness centre, the hotel has a total of nine function rooms, including six stylish salons on the Bel Etage, a multifunctional Kurfürstensaal and three other business suites. With passion and long-term experience, we provide a five-star catering service.

* Arrival by car:Motorway A4 from Leipzig/Chemnitz, exit Dresden-Altstadt, follow B6 (direction city center), turn right at Terrassenufer in direction Theaterplatz, at crossing turn right before the Cathedral, after approx 300 m Kempinski Hotel is on your left. Follow also the guiding system (Hotelroute)Motorway A4 from Berlin, exit Dresden-Hellerau, follow B170/E55 (direction city center), on Große Meißner Straße turn right onto Augustusbrücke bridge, follow street on left lane, after approx 300 m Kempinski Hotel is on your left. Follow also the guiding system (Hotelroute). * Arrival from the airport: Commuter train connection to the train station Bahnhof Neustadt (daily), connecting trains to the main station Hauptbahnhof according to timetable. Please note: use of Dresden City Card and Regio Card is possible. * Arrival by public transport: Fro Hauptbahnhof (main station) take tram 11(direction Bühlau) or tram 8 (direction hellerau) to stop 'Postplatz', walk few meters along Sophienstraße to the hotel.
