Welcome to the idyllic Geigerhof in Höhenberg, a picturesque neighbourhood above Aschau in Chiemgau! Let yourself be enchanted by the peace and beauty of this small hamlet - there is no through traffic here, just a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains, meadows and farms. Our charming farm chalet, next to the Geigerhof farm, offers you everything you need for an unforgettable holiday - a feel-good place for the whole family. Enjoy the special atmosphere of the chalet, which is directly adjacent to the small filial church of St. Cross - a real gem, which is only occasionally used for devotions and therefore no regular ringing of bells disturbs you. The chalet is spread over two floors and is perfect for families or couples. On the ground floor, you will find an open-plan kitchen with a cosy dining area, an inviting living area and a terrace with a small garden - ideal for warm summer evenings. Upstairs you will find a spacious bedroom with a double bed, an inviting sleeping gallery in the sloping roof and a modern bathroom. Further amenities include a free car park directly at the chalet and free Wi-Fi. Please note that dogs and other pets are unfortunately not permitted.

Environment description

Hike or cycle directly from the chalet and explore the surrounding area. Whether it's the picturesque hiking circuit in the Bärnsee nature reserve or the numerous other excursion destinations: Nature lovers and explorers will get their money's worth here. You can easily reach Munich and Salzburg by public transport. Lake Chiemsee is just ten minutes away by car, where you can explore the islands with the royal castle by boat or take the Kampenwand cable car up the mountain.
Café Pauli with its beer garden is within walking distance - ideal for a snack or a cosy coffee break. The moor bathing area and another natural bathing area are also nearby and are ideal for swimming.

About the host

Start your holiday in Höhenberg and experience the perfect combination of nature, comfort and Bavarian cosiness! Our chalet is also perfectly tailored to the needs of families with small children: There are nappy-changing facilities, child-friendly crockery and games at your disposal, and we are also happy to provide a baby cot. For even more fun, there is a large shared playground on our farm next door, which is well equipped with a climbing frame, slide, swing and trampoline.
Two double rooms are also available to rent on the farm if you are travelling in a larger group.

tourism tax / plus tourism tax
The prices are exclusive of tourism tax of 2,00 € per person/night. For persons from the 7th to the completion of the 16th year of life 1,80 €. Children up to the age of 6 years are exempt from local tax. You pay the local tax at your host.

Arrival Description

By car: Motorway A8 Munich/Salzburg - exit Aschau / Frasdorf or Bernau, turn left towards Aschau/Kampenwandbahn.

Coming from Frasdorf: pass the entrance to Aschau i.Ch., straight ahead on Rosenheimer Str., past the petrol station. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit in the direction of Bernau/Chiemsee. Follow the road, over the railway track, past the Orth. At the bend on the right, turn left towards Höhenberg/Umrathshausen. Follow the road for approx. 1 km, cross the district of Schafelbach, after the housing estate turn right towards Höhenberg. Follow the road to the left in the direction of the chapel, shortly before on the left-hand side you will reach the farm ‘Geigerhof’ and the farm chalet.
Coming from Bernau: pass the entrance to Aschau i.Ch., straight ahead on Bernauer Str., after the first farms, in the left-hand bend turn right towards Höhenberg/Umrathshausen. See above.
By train: Munich-Salzburg train connection - from Prien station to Aschau with the Chiemgaubahn - station pick-up and luggage transport.
