Welcome to the Berglodge Chiemsee. In winter 2024/25 our non-smoking holiday flat was extensively renovated with great attention to detail in the alpine Upper Bavarian style.
Enjoy the first rays of sunshine of the day on the 20 square metre terrace with a view of the vastness of the high plateau. Only the cowbells break the idyllic silence on the east side of the house. Furnished entirely in the taste of the owner family, you will experience the comfort of home: extra-high mattresses, allergy-friendly duvets, hygienic shower wall, high-quality equipped pantry kitchen and many extras such as yoga mat and hot water bottle. A special kitchen highlight is the hot-air fryer, which you can use to cook your breakfast egg at the same time as your bread rolls.
The spacious living room and bedroom is furnished with two single beds (90x200cm, 100x200cm), a pull-out sofa bed (80x195cm, recommended for light people), a wardrobe and a dining table with corner bench (up to 6 people). Bathroom with shower/bathtub, WC, hairdryer. Bed linen and towels available. Free WLAN is available throughout the house. No dogs or pets allowed.

Description
The idyllic farmstead settlement of Hintergschwendt is located on a plateau (800 metres) above Lake Chiemsee between Bernau and Aschau. A tarmac mountain road leads you up into a picturesque mountain landscape, which is characterised by tranquillity and close proximity to nature. There are only three farms, many cows and the Gschwendtnerhof with 26 individually managed holiday flats, including the ‘Berglodge Chiemsee’.Mountain lovers will appreciate the direct access to hiking and cycling trails, ski tours and cross-country ski trails. The ascent to the Kampenwand is particularly popular, with its breathtaking panorama and mountain huts serving Alpine cuisine and snacks.
Environment description
The Gschwendtnerhof, where the ‘Berglodge Chiemsee’ holiday flat is located, is an alpine-style farmhouse in an idyllic location in Hintergschwendt. Surrounded by green meadows and with an unobstructed view of the Chiemgau Alps, you can leave everyday life behind you and treat yourself to a well-earned break. Hintergschwendt is away from the noise of traffic, but still central enough to reach the region's most beautiful excursion destinations quickly by car: Aschau 10 min., Chiemsee 15 min., Kampenwand cable car 15 min., Rosenheim 30 min., Kufstein 40 min., Munich 60 min., Salzburg 60 minutes.The 26 holiday flats have all been individually furnished by their respective owners.
The communal garden has wooden benches, loungers and a swing. In the basement you will find a ski room, laundry room (coin-operated washing machine/dryer), as well as a sauna with showers and relaxation room.
You will find a variety of shops in Aschau (large Edeka, bookshop, toys, butcher, baker, etc.) or in Bernau (dm, Aldi, fish shop).
If you don't feel like doing your own shopping, you can walk to the Maisalm or the Seiserhof in about 30 minutes.

Please pay for your accommodation in full when booking. For bookings made at short notice, we request proof of payment. Payment of the rent must be made by bank transfer in advance. There is no payment option on site.
tourism tax / plus tourism tax
The prices are exclusive of tourism tax of 2,00 € per person/night. For persons from the 7th to the completion of the 16th year of life 1,80 €. Children up to the age of 6 years are exempt from local tax. You pay the local tax at your host. Arrival Description
Coming from Munich, take the A8 motorway towards Salzburg. Take the Frasdorf exit and follow the signs to Aschau. In Aschau at the roundabout (Edeka), take the second exit to Bernau. Midway between Aschau and Bernau, turn right onto the tarmac mountain road towards Hintergschwendt, Seiseralm. Once you reach the Alpe di Siusi, continue straight ahead.
