Enjoy a relaxing holiday in our spacious and lovingly furnished holiday flat in picturesque Aschau im Chiemgau. The peaceful location on the outskirts of the village and the magnificent panoramic views of the Kampenwand and the Zellerhorn provide the perfect setting for a relaxing stay in the mountains. The town centre, with its cosy restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, bakeries and butchers, as well as the railway station and bus stop, is just a 10-minute walk away. The Paediatric Orthopaedic Clinic is also in the immediate vicinity. The 106 m² flat offers plenty of space to relax and unwind. You can look forward to a spacious living and dining room with stylish furnishings, as well as a sunny south-facing terrace with a garden and fantastic mountain views. In the building, you can also use the gym, a sauna (for a small fee), and a washing machine and tumble dryer. The accommodation is an ideal base for walks along the River Prien, cycling and hiking tours in the Chiemgau Alps, and trips to Lake Chiemsee. A reserved parking space is available for you directly in front of the house. Pets are not permitted.

Environment description

Aschau im Chiemgau lies between the Chiemgau Alps and Lake Chiemsee and offers a wealth of opportunities for relaxation, enjoying nature and leisure activities. The Kampenwand dominates the region’s landscape and is a popular destination for walks and mountain hikes. Around the village, you’ll find a well-developed network of hiking and cycling trails, as well as walking paths along the mountain river Prien. Well-known attractions include Hohenaschau Castle, the Kampenwand cable car and Lake Chiemsee. From Prien, you can take a boat to Fraueninsel and Herreninsel, home to Herrenchiemsee Castle, built by King Ludwig II. The Tyrolean fortress town of Kufstein is also ideal for a day trip. Thanks to good transport links, you can reach Munich and Salzburg in around an hour, either by car or by train. The region offers attractive leisure activities all year round. In summer, swimming lakes, mountain railways and numerous hiking trails invite you to enjoy outdoor activities. In winter, there are cross-country ski trails in the surrounding area. The Sachrang ski resort is particularly suitable for families and beginners.

The prices are exclusive of tourism tax of 2,00 € per person/night. For persons from the 7th to the completion of the 16th year of life 1,80 €. Children up to the age of 6 years are exempt from local tax. You pay the local tax at your host.

Arrival Description

A8 exit Aschau/Frasdorf - 5 km in the direction of Aschau im Chiemgau - at the roundabout take the 2nd exit and immediately after the exit turn left again into Wiesengrundstraße - in front of the yellow Gasthof Kampenwand. Follow Wiesengrundstraße for approx. 500 m until you turn right into Erlenweg, 2nd house on the left.
