Description

A farm in a peaceful, sunny hillside location with stunning mountain views across the entire mountain range. Our farm is situated in the Höhenberg district and we have no through traffic. We offer two rooms to let; all guests have access to a breakfast and lounge area with a tiled stove, free Wi-Fi and a guest fridge in the house. We serve our lovingly prepared breakfast in our breakfast room. Our guests have access to a communal balcony, which is welcome for smoking, and there are opportunities to relax on a sunbathing lawn. A pick-up and drop-off service is available to and from Aschau im Chiemgau railway station. By car, you can reach the village in just a few minutes, where you’ll find various shops, restaurants, the railway station with a bus stop, and the Kampenwand cable car. Parking is available in front of the house. Dogs and other pets are not permitted. In addition to our farmhouse, we also rent out a holiday home, the “Bauerhofchalet Geigerhof”, which accommodates up to 4 people, should you be travelling in a larger group.

Environment description

We are the ideal starting point for many wonderful hikes and walks in the Bärnsee nature reserve. The orthopaedic children's clinic is a 15-minute walk away. The Cafe Pauli with its beer garden is just a few minutes' walk away for a snack or a coffee. The moor bathing area and the swimming area are not far away.

tourism tax / plus tourism tax
The prices quoted are exclusive of tourism tax, which is €2.00 per person/night. For children and young people aged 6 to 15, the visitor's tax is €1.80 per person/night. Children up to the age of 5 are exempt from local tax. You pay the local tax for the municipality of Aschau i. Ch. directly to your host. 

Arrival Description

By car: Motorway A8 Munich/Salzburg - exit Aschau / Frasdorf or Bernau, turn left towards Aschau/Kampenwandbahn.

Coming from Frasdorf: pass the entrance to Aschau i.Ch., straight ahead on Rosenheimer Str., past the petrol station, over the bridge, then turn left towards Bernau. Follow the road, over the railway track, past the Orth. In the right-hand bend, turn left in the direction of Höhenberg/Umrathshausen. Follow the road for approx. 1 km, you will pass through the district of Schafelbach, after the housing estate turn right towards Höhenberg. Follow the road to the left in the direction of the chapel, shortly before you reach the "Geigerhof" farm on the left-hand side.

Coming from Bernau: pass the entrance to Aschau i.Ch., straight ahead on Bernauer Str., after the first farms, in the left-hand bend turn right towards Höhenberg/Umrathshausen. Follow the road for approx. 1 km, you will pass through the district of Schafelbach, after the housing estate turn right towards Höhenberg. Follow the road to the left in the direction of the chapel, shortly before you reach the "Geigerhof" farm on the left-hand side.

By train: Munich-Salzburg train connection - from Prien station to Aschau with the Chiemgaubahn - station pick-up and luggage transport.
