Description

Spend a relaxing holiday in our bright and lovingly furnished non-smoking holiday flat for 2 to 3 people on the first floor of the historic Haus Elisabeth. With 58 m² of living space, you can enjoy a cosy atmosphere and a sunny south-facing balcony with lovely views of Hohenaschau Castle and the surrounding mountains. Haus Elisabeth is situated in a quiet location between the River Prien and the Hammerbach stream. The valley station of the Kampenwand cable car, Hohenaschau Castle, the falconry centre and several restaurants with beer gardens are all within easy walking distance. A Kneipp facility with direct access to the stream is located in the immediate vicinity. The centre of Aschau, with its shops and bus stop, is about 1.5 km away. Numerous walking and hiking trails lead straight from the house through the Chiemgau countryside. The location is ideal for walks, cycle rides and trips to Lake Chiemsee as well as to the region’s attractions.
Guests have shared use of a barbecue area, a sunbathing lawn and a cycle shed, as well as a washing machine and tumble dryer (for a fee). The flat comes with its own underground parking space. Your dog is also welcome for an additional charge.
Please note that there is no Wi-Fi available in the holiday flat. The accommodation is particularly suitable for guests who wish to enjoy peace and quiet, nature and a break from everyday life.

Environment description

The area around Aschau and Lake Chiemsee offers a wide range of excursion options to make your holiday varied and unforgettable. Just a few kilometres away lies Lake Chiemsee, the ‘Bavarian Sea’. From Prien, you can easily take a boat to Herreninsel, home to the famous King Ludwig II’s castle, and to the idyllic Fraueninsel, which invites you to linger with its monastery, small cafés and picturesque paths. Larger cities are also within easy reach: Munich delights with its culture, shopping and historic squares, whilst Salzburg impresses with its Baroque old town, Hohensalzburg Fortress and musical flair. The Tyrolean fortress town of Kufstein beckons with its charming old town and an impressive Alpine panorama. Whether culture, nature or indulgence – the region offers the perfect experience for every taste, making your stay in Chiemgau particularly varied.

The prices quoted are exclusive of tourism tax, which is €2.00 per person/night. For children and young people aged 6 to 15, the visitor's tax is €1.80 per person/night. Children up to the age of 5 are exempt from local tax. You pay the local tax for the municipality of Aschau i. Ch. directly to your host.

Arrival Description

By car: A8 motorway Munich/Salzburg – take the Aschau/Frasdorf or Bernau exit, then turn left towards Aschau/Kampenwandbahn.
Coming from Frasdorf: Pass the entrance to Aschau i.Ch., continue straight on along Rosenheimer Straße, past the petrol station; at the roundabout, take the first exit and follow the road to the traffic lights; turn right at the traffic lights and continue to the junction, then turn left into Zellerhornstraße; follow the road for approx. 1.5 km; house no. 66 is on the right-hand side.
