The holiday flat is situated in a quiet location on the outskirts of Aschau im Chiemgau, in a house comprising several residential units. From here, you can enjoy unobstructed views of the Kampenwand and have easy access to numerous leisure and day-trip options in the immediate vicinity. A sunbathing area and a barbecue area at the rear of the building are available for communal use. A small indoor swimming pool in the building can be used free of charge on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. In addition, a sauna, washing machine and tumble dryer are available for a fee. The town centre, with its various shops, restaurants and cafés, is only about 500 metres away. The railway station and bus stop are a 10-minute walk away. The Paediatric Orthopaedic Clinic is about 1.5 km away and can be reached by car in just a few minutes. The accommodation is a good starting point for walks along the River Prien, as well as for hikes and mountain tours in the Chiemgau Alps. Cyclists will also find plenty of opportunities for excursions in the surrounding region.

A garage and an electric charging point for electric cars and e-bikes are available for your stay. Dogs are also welcome for an additional charge.

Aschau im Chiemgau lies between the Chiemgau Alps and Lake Chiemsee and offers a wealth of opportunities for relaxation, nature experiences and leisure activities. The Kampenwand dominates the region’s landscape and is a popular destination for hikes and mountain walks. Around the village, you’ll find a well-developed network of hiking and cycling trails, as well as footpaths along the mountain river Prien. Well-known attractions include Hohenaschau Castle, the Kampenwand cable car and Lake Chiemsee. From Prien, you can take a boat to Fraueninsel and Herreninsel, home to Herrenchiemsee Palace, built by King Ludwig II. The Tyrolean fortress town of Kufstein is also ideal for a day trip. Thanks to good transport links, you can reach Munich and Salzburg in around an hour, either by car or by train. The region offers attractive leisure activities all year round. In summer, swimming lakes, mountain railways and numerous hiking trails invite you to enjoy outdoor activities. In winter, there are cross-country skiing trails available in the surrounding area. The Sachrang ski resort is particularly suitable for families and beginners.

Arrival Description

It’s that easy to find your holiday flat at Christ, Amselweg 1, 83229 Aschau i.Chiemgau: Leave the A8 Munich/Salzburg motorway at the Frasdorf/Aschau exit. Drive towards Aschau; at the roundabout, follow signs for the Kampenwandbahn; go straight on through the traffic lights; after the traffic lights, approximately 400 metres further on, you’ll see the Sparkasse on your right; turn into Aufhamer Straße opposite, continue along Aufhamer Straße until you turn left into Amselweg and drive to the Samerhof. Please drive roughly halfway along the property, unlock the garage door and park on the far right-hand side of the garage.
