Admission & Guided Tour of the "Gläserne Manufaktur" plus a typical VW snack - only in GERMAN
The "Gläserne Manufaktur" is the symbol of the Volkswagen brand's sustainable realignment: Founded in 2001, it was the site of series production of the all-electric ID.3 from January 2021 to the end of 2025.
From 2026, the experience center will undergo a transformation. In the future, Volkswagen, together with the Free State of Saxony and the Technical University of Dresden, will operate an innovation campus for key technologies at this location. Known as the "Stanford of the East," it will serve as a breeding ground for companies with highly complex, technological business ideas.
The interactive production experience will continue. It will showcase the future of autonomous driving and the latest advancements in microelectronics and the use of cutting-edge materials.
Various questions about electric cars will also be addressed during the guided tour of the approximately 83,000-square-meter experience center. When was the first electric Volkswagen built? How far can you go on a single charge? And how many production steps does it actually take to complete an electric car?
