"As a business stay is ok, room is comfortable and the amenities are enough, but I'm disappointed with the service and care. First day I arrived I noticed the toilet paper was almost ending from the previous guest. Next day I finish it and go to work thinking house keeping would take care of it. They didn't. I went to the reception (I was going to leave for dinner) and told them this and they asked ME to take toilet paper from the reception to my room because house keeping had already left... as a costumer I find this very strange and lazy from the hotel staff. This created an unnecessarily scene where I had to stand my ground (that this shouldn't be my responsibility) and another girl in the reception came forward and voluntered to go herself to my room leave the tp - this made me feel uncomfortable as a guest, I shouldn't have to be confrontational on a hotel and let staff know how they should be servicing. Also on my check-out I was packing during the morning and house keeping knocked on my door and I told the lady I was packing for checkout so they could come later - this was ok. Same thing happened for the minibar refill and I told the same thing... here the guy asked how long I would take - again, I find this very uninviting and distracting. The checkout is as 12h. It was 10.30/11h - if the guest has until then to make the check out they shouldn't feel as a nuisance for the staff. I was trying to relax a bit after an intense week of work in another country and preparing for the airport proceedings that are stressful enough. Overall I feel like there is a minimum care the staff should have with hotel guest and I feel like when it comes to service, people on this hotel don't seam to have the posture of friendliness or helpfulness."

"We ordered 2 rooms for 2 people each. There was a mistake during the booking and at the reception desk they seemed expecting 1 person per each room booked. Mistakes happen, but they persisted. When I called from the room to say I have smaller blankets, blankets in each room that fit maximum for one person, not two, at the reception they said that's the standard. We got another small blanket for each room to compensate. It patched the problem. If that's the standard for a bad with 2 people, having 2 smaller blankets, it's strange for me, but it can pass. What bothered me the most is to have to face and solve these challenges instead of just going to sleep. The carpet under the desk of room 111 was wet. I had to call to understand from where that's coming and ensure nothing even more wrong is happening. The main entrance to the hotel didn't work. That happens from time to time. Doors weren't opening. Sensors didn't work, or something. We had to wait a while (5min) for someone to get us in. The trash can in the room lost its padel. You have to press a small iron bar to open it. At the breakfast there was only one person for a very long time. We waited 10 minutes to seat us somewhere as that person was cleaning a table very focused and didn't see us. The people that interacted directly with me/us were nice. It felt to me there are forces greater than them at that hotel."

"Front desk, A Kopp, was rude. Was enquiring the time of breakfast and he says I can just look at the notice inside the lift before telling me the time. When I ask if breakfast was included in my booking as I can't remember if I purchased it, the receptionist says "don't you remember your own booking?" before then checking for me. What's the purpose of the first comment? If I have the answers to the questions, I wouldn't have asked at all. If he was saying it in a joking manner, it would've been fine. But it was obvious that he was unhappy that I'm wasting his time asking stupid questions and that he can't wait to go back inside the office to rest. Another female receptionist which I did not get the name was also condescending with her reply. Seems like all the front desk here doesn't even bother about service. This is one of my worst stay in Mercure."

"We were in Stuttgart just for one day, there was no check in till 3 pm which was mentioned before. At 3 pm my husband checked in and paid, we went to the room and the room was not empty, the last guest was in the room and she didnt check out. It was so confusing and we were shocked because we have a child and I am pregnant it we were too tired. Then I went to the reception, explained to them , they were so bad to handle , they didnt listen to me and told me my room card worked. I explained to them that the problem was not the card, still could not see other guest in the system. Then they asked their manager, he could not talk in German, just English ( I can speak both of them) and then he gave us another room but said that we didnt pay, I checked with my husband and he did pay!!! We were in the room just one blanket and one pillow. Then I have to ask to bring more blanket and pillow!!! I am working in NH hotel and like all the other people I was in so many hotels. Never ever had this exprience. They never ever said sorry or any reaction to their bad management. I dont suggest this hotel and I never ever go to this chain ever again!!"

"Even though I am a silver member, I specifically book with a request for early check-in 1. I was disappointed I was not given provided the request, as I had previously. Not even checking my reservations I was rejected, and at the same time I need to pay additional 30 Euro for early checkin. 2. I was felt welcomed by the duty manager in the morning. 3. I was offered a welcome drink voucher as silver member 4. I was charged for payment for the 5 nights + the 30 Euro 5. The checkout team was extremely helpful and I am very impressed on Friday evening. They mentioned that I shouldn't be charge / make payment to my credit card.. Very help and feel welcomed."

"Pros: Very clean room, comfortable bed, wifi decent for remote working. Cons: Breakfast is extortionately priced at €25. Fortunately, there are other places to eat close by. Accor allows you to book late check out up until 18:00 when booking. This is great if you want to work in the room during the day. I informed the reception on arrival that I'd be staying in the room until 18:00. Then, at 12:30 I received a phone call from reception while I was in a meeting. 10 minutes later someone came to the room to ask me when I was going to leave - even though I had already told reception and paid for the room until 18:00, in the process disturbing my meeting. I reminded reception when I went for lunch that I would be using the room until 18::00. Then I received another call while I was in an online meeting at 17:30 from reception. This points to both communication issues in the hotel and a total lack of customer service. If they have problems with allowing the room to be booked until 18:00, don't offer it - it's as simple as that."

"We were not allocated the Privilege room I had booked and paid extra for. We were given a room with 2 single beds (not Queen) and the "Inner Court Yard location" was actually a Car Park view. The room itself was acceptable - clean and tidy with sufficient space. The shower has good water pressure, though water escaped the shower cubicle through the gap in the shower door (poor design/installation), wetting the bathroom floor every time. We had to request additional bath mats each night to soak up the water. The Car Park was expensive (street parking on the adjacent side street was available) and cramped to navigate. The ticket machine was not easy to reach with each entry/exit. I got locked in the lift corridor for 10-15 minutes one evening when my keycard wouldn't open the door. Security had to attend to allow me to access. Reception was adequate, not friendly, proactive or helpful, but did their job. Location was acceptable - on a main road with a Shopping Centre 5 minutes walk away."

"The overall experience was seriously affected by the fact that I raised issues regarding the temperature of the room over and over and nothing was done or maybe could have been done to help the situation. As a result I had some of the worst nights i've had in hotels. Considering the hot summer temperature/weather during my visit to Stuttgart, the hotel air conditioning in the room was not functioning, leaving the room extremely hot. I raised this issue 3 times with the hotel, on one occasion a technician/staff was sent over who apparently tried to restart the system to no avail. on one of my calls the hotel confirmed there was nothing more they could do regarding the temperature, saying it was equally hot all over the hotel. The hotel certainly needs to sort out their air conditioning system as i was unable to sleep during my entire stay. I was sweating profusely all night long through my stay there (2 nights without sleep). Very disappointed."

"I was quite disappointed by the unfriendlyness and unhelpfulness of the staff. Mercure is (at least in France) a pretty decent hotel chain and I’m used to having a better service. For exemple, the first day I asked the front desk (I was the only customer at that time, so the staff didn’t seem to be busy) how to get from the Hotel to the Carls Brauhaus using the public transport, their answer was: « google it » That’s indeed an option, but not a very polite way for a concierge to help a customer. Also, it’s a pitty that we cannot pay the parking at the machines using credit card, I had to go back to the front desk. In general the stay was OK, but buy far my worst experience in a hotel in Germany, at least concerning the friendlyness and willing to help of the staff. No lactose free / vegetable yogurt for breakfast (just a vanilla, chocolat or caramel desert that the staff calls yogurt but which is anything but yoghurt."

"The hotel was well located next to Milaneo shopping mall and within 20 minutes walk to Stuttgart HBF. There were many pictures of Porsche in the hotel which I found it very cool because I am a Porsche fan myself. The room was clean and tidy. I wish there was a minibar but it’s okay. Everything in the room works as normal. Overall my wife and I had a pleasant stay at this hotel and the hotel staff were friendly. I’ll definitely choose this hotel if I visit Stuttgart again."

"At checkin, the employee started to write down my credit card number after I made a payment on the terminal successfully. This felt suspicious just for booking a breakfast Then at 9:30pm he tells me the restaurant closes at 10 pm after longues minutes of verifications At 9:45, I am told they cannot serve food…. I am starving, they don’t even serve snacks at the bar. In the bedroom, the bed is not done. The sheets are folded on top of it. I had to prepare for a long day of work the next day, this whole experience felt like a bad joke. Finally, the lobby booked at taxi in tjr morning for us, but once arrived the driver randomly picked up another group. The stars granted to this hotel are far from being deserved."

"I have been staying at the Mercure in Stuttgart for years now. Everything would go well, until this time. On my arrival was a certain "Mr. Kopp" at the reception. He was very impolite, starting yelling at us about the parking (which we paid €18 for) and thought nothing would happen. We summoned his Manager and complained. He also didn't know what he was doing. He couldn't find our reservation although we were already checked in online. And he wouldn't let us pay with a bank card, he insisted we pay with the card that we left to hold the room. We didn't do that either, and let the manager redo it the way we wanted. I am not sure how a reputed hotel like the Mercure hires people like that, or lets them treat customers that way. But right around the corner from the Mercure is the Hilton Hotel and the Prima Inn at the Milaneo Mall. I'm going to have to try them the next time I am in Stuttgart. Thanks"
