Our hotel and beer garden are located in Hannover's green heart, the Eilenriede forest. Did you know ? Hannover features the largest urban forest in Europe, with an area of approximately 1600 acres, even the Hyde Park in London and the Bois de Bologne in Paris cannot compete. With a road network of about 42 kilometers, pods, lawns, playgrounds, sport trails, sledding hills and of course “Hotel Bischofshol” with restaurant and beer garden, the Eilenriede provides all the necessary needs of people seeking relaxation.
If you watch closely, you will discover eventually a number of local forest animals and the typical vegetation of a nutrient-poor, sandy subsoil e.g. oak and hornbeam companies with single lime trees, ash, maples and elms, as well as several beech and pine populations.

Hotel Bischofshol is also an ideal starting point for joggers due to its location near on of Hannover's most interesting running paths. Example: 12 km from Bischofshol around the “Maschsee”-Lake and back

The ZAG- and Heinz von Heiden Arena can be reached directly by tram or bus within the GVH.

Our restaurant is well known and liked for its seasonally and regionally inspired cuisine.
For example our famous St. Martin's goose at Christmas time or delightful asparagus dishes at spring time. In addition to our regular “a la Carte”- menu we also offer seasonal menus throughout the year.

Wether the occasion is a company celebration, a wedding, a birthday or an anniversary - we offer enough
room to accommodate up to 160 persons. Our conference rooms are available for up to 80 persons.

On warm days during summer there is always a colorful life in our cozy beer garden beneath the beautiful canopy of leaves. Visitors can look forward to a varied program of music events, live soccer,
and movie screenings, as well as events with individual artists, such as gospel singers.
