Weidlingsfahrt (Rheinabwärts)

Experience the romance of the High Rhine with just a spike and oar - without a motor. Enjoy the beauty of the river and nature while travelling on the Rhine in typical wooden boats.

Downstream on the Rhine max. 7 persons per Weidling. A maximum of 3 Weidlings are possible per booking (larger groups on request).

The duration of the trip may vary depending on the meeting and end point, water level, season and flow speed.

Participants must be able to swim. Insurance is the responsibility of the participants. We charge CHF 40.00 per half hour for waiting times.

Booking conditions
Please note that the Weidling trip must be requested at least 4 working days in advance.

Cancellation of weidling trips
Cancellations due to bad weather up to 24 hours before departure of the weidling trip are subject to a one-off charge of CHF 40.00. In the event of other cancellations, the following flat-rate fees will be charged for the organisational costs: Cancellation less than 48 hours before the trip: 100% of the costs, cancellation more than 48 hours before the trip: flat rate of CHF 40.00 (processing fee). If there is a risk of thunderstorms on the day of the trip, you will be contacted directly by the weidling drivers. Due to flooding (especially in June), the Weidling drivers may cancel a trip without incurring any costs. This applies in particular to trips to and from Laag/Katharinental and Diessenhofen. Such cancellations are usually made in good time so that customers can still reschedule.

Büsingen to Schaffhausen, 1 ½ hours (+ empty journey of approx. 1 ½ hours)
Laag to Schaffhausen, 2 hours (+ empty journey of approx. 2 hours)
*Katharinental to Schaffhausen, 2 ½ hours (+ empty journey of approx. 2 ¼ hours)
*Diessenhofen to Schaffhausen 3 hours (+ empty journey of approx. 2 ½ hours)

Arrival in Schaffhausen at the Salzstadel.

*Depending on the water level, two weidling drivers per weidling must be organised (then max. 4 people per weidling and price increase to the respective route offer). These routes are only possible at low or medium water levels.

Special trips
Special trips, e.g. with a break on land, by moonlight, for wedding couples, or for a small group barbecue and fondue, are available on request.
