Welcome to the Gschwendtnerhof - your holiday paradise in the mountains! The Gschwendtnerhof is nestled in the beautiful natural surroundings of the Chiemgau region on a sunny high plateau at an altitude of 840 metres. Between Aschau im Chiemgau and Bernau am Chiemsee, just 5 kilometres away, you can enjoy peace, relaxation and a magnificent view of the Kampenwand. The Gschwendtnerhof with its 26 holiday flats, of which our lovingly furnished holiday flat is one, offers you the highest level of comfort and free WLAN. Surrounded by traditional farms, you will experience an incomparable atmosphere far away from everyday life. Unwind in the communal garden with cosy wooden benches, deckchairs and a swing. A communal room with table football and table tennis as well as a ski room for winter guests provide entertainment. There is also a sauna with showers and relaxation room in the basement - perfect for relaxing after an eventful day in the mountains. The hotel offers a bread roll service for your breakfast. 
You can park your car conveniently in the free car park per holiday flat. Please note that pets are unfortunately not allowed in our holiday apartments.

Lake Chiemsee is just a few minutes' drive away - perfect for a refreshing swim or an exciting day of water sports. The Kampenwand cable car takes you comfortably to lofty heights for unforgettable mountain hikes with panoramic views. No culinary wishes remain unfulfilled: In Aschau you will find everything you need for your daily indulgence, from butchers to bakers or places to stop for a bite to eat, from Bavarian restaurants to rustic mountain huts. For culture and excursion lovers, the region offers impressive sights, including King Ludwig II's fairytale Herrenchiemsee Castle, the romantic Fraueninsel, Hohenaschau Castle and exciting museums. And if you fancy a city trip, Munich, Salzburg and Kufstein are just an hour away by car or train.

The prices are exclusive of tourism tax of 2,00 € per person/night. For persons from the 7th to the completion of the 16th year of life 1,80 €. Children up to the age of 6 years are exempt from local tax. You pay the local tax at your host.

Arrival Description

Motorway A8 Munich - Salzburg, exit Frasdorf/Aschau. After 4 km you are in Aschau and take the second exit at the roundabout in the direction of Bernau/Prien. 5 km further on, a road branches off to the right in Außerkoy. Follow this road uphill for 3 km until you reach the high plateau of Hintergschwendt. You will find a large car park in front of the house.
