The eternal thermal spring (English version)

Description

In Roman times, people were already bathing in Aquae Helvetica - as bathing was called back then. And in the centuries that followed, people from all over the world traveled to the spa region to find relaxation and healing in the hot springs. Lively merriment, debauched frivolity and scandals: the baths had everything to offer in the various eras. The tour sheds light on the historical origins of Baden and its baths and contrasts them with the modern interpretations and buildings of the bathing tradition. With witty and exciting stories, our city guide team builds a bridge between 2000 years of history and the glamorous future.
