Our hotel in Cologne on Neumarkt is located directly on the city's former cattle market square, which was founded as early as 1076. Today, it's not so much cows, horses and chickens that make the hearts of shoppers beat faster, but rather fashion boutiques, department stores and the like. The Schildergasse, Cologne's most popular shopping street, is right on the doorstep of our Design Hotel in Cologne and takes you right into the heart of the city centre in just a few minutes. The historic town hall, the Museum of Applied Art, the Hohenzollern Bridge and the Rhine await you here - as well as various Kölsch breweries that offer the perfect refreshment during a stroll through the city. From our inexpensive hotel, you can walk through medieval alleyways to the city's landmark, Cologne Cathedral. The interior of our hotel in Cologne-Neumarkt is also dominated by this imposing building, which is one of the most visited sights in Germany and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From colourful glass mosaics in the bar area, reminiscent of the cathedral's ornate windows, to transparent room dividers inspired by its Gothic round arches. From wall installations that transport the viewer directly into the interior of the nave, to slate and marble details that echo the basic stone structure of the centuries-old visitor magnet.
