Description
The tour of the fortifications, which are currently undergoing one of the most extensive redesigns by the Bayerische Schlösser- und Gartenverwaltung, leads via the Echtertor and the horse pond to the castle moat, which offers a magnificent view of the city. The guided tour concludes with a visit to the Museum für Franken, home to a world-renowned collection of works by Tilman Riemenschneider. Also on display are outdoor scultpures from the Veitshöchheim Rococo Gardens, as well as witnesses of Franconian folk art and wine culture.

Opening times of the Museum für Franken:
November - March daily 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
April - October daily 10.00 am to 5.00 p.m.
from Tuesday to Sunday. The Museum is closed on Monday.
Entrance fees per person: 5,00 EUR
Groups with minimum 15 adults: 4,00 EUR
Children (0 up to 17 years): free entrance
Information: The entrance fees are not included in the fare for the guide and must be paid additionally.
