Since its reopening in 2020, the Juster Guesthouse has served as a hub for long-distance hikers on the Lebensweg trail. Hiking expertise is a top priority here. The owner and host, Dieter Juster, is the founder of the Lebensweg—a 260-kilometer long-distance hiking trail in the southern Waldviertel region: Dieter is your direct contact for route planning and background information on this trail.
Quiet and comfortable rooms, attentive service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere make this the perfect starting point for extended hikes and outdoor activities.
The nearby Edlesberger Teich and the high elevation (865 m above sea level) ensure pleasant temperatures even in midsummer for active nature experiences in the Weinsberger Forest.
Your hosts will be happy to put together an attractive excursion program featuring the cultural and culinary highlights of the Waldviertel and the Wachau (Melk Abbey, Zwettl Abbey, the Renaissance Pöggstall Castle, Artstetten, and much more).
The house also offers the ideal setting for a break from everyday life. A completely peaceful location, an on-site sauna, a large natural meadow right outside your room door, and an almost endless network of trails through gentle forest and meadow landscapes.
The house is particularly well-suited for group or family stays and offers a year-round seminar program with varied content. The themes of “change, movement, and experiencing nature” are central to this program. In this way, you will also be supported in your personal life journey.
