Zugspitze Child (0-14 Years)

This day trip takes you through charming Garmisch-Partenkirchen to the Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain. You will begin your ascent with the new cable car, which will take you to the nearly 3,000-meter-high mountain peak in just ten minutes. After enjoying the exhilarating view of more than 400 peaks there, you can continue exploring the landscape on a short hike. 

For those who like it a bit faster, there is a toboggan hill on the eternal ice during the summer months. Toboggans can be rented free of charge. You can indulge in culinary delights in the many restaurants (which also offer vegetarian and halal menus). The descent is then made with the historic rack railroad.

Duration: 8 hours in total

Info: usually first summit visit independently, a walk to Austria and a visit to the summit cross is possible. Later we go to the glacier and then back with the rack railroad. Stay on the mountain about 2 hrs.

Departure point: Karlsplatz 21 / Stachus (Sonnenstraße in front of GALERIA Kaufhof)
