Our two holiday apartments are centrally located in Oberweißbach at an altitude of about 700 meters, quietly situated between the Rennsteig, the famous high-altitude hiking trail of the Thuringian Forest, and the wild-romantic Schwarzatal, one of the most beautiful valleys in Germany. Well-marked hiking and cycling trails invite you to be active and recharge your energy. Learn more about our native wild herbs on a walk along the herb educational trail. During a break, you can get to know and love traditional Thuringian cuisine. Worthwhile excursion destinations, such as the Saalfeld Fairy Grottoes, the slate quarries in Lehesten, the classic city of Weimar, the Wartburg - UNESCO World Heritage Site in Eisenach, and much more can be explored on a day trip. With your all-inclusive guest card, which you receive exclusively from us upon arrival (not (not for commercial stays), you can visit numerous recreational facilities throughout the Thuringian Forest free of charge. Dive into the Saalemaxx, stroll through the princely adventure worlds in Schwarzburg, or take a trip to the fairy grotto town of Saalfeld, take a ride on the "Thuringian Sea," wander through the EGA Park in Erfurt, or go for a round on skis in the Oberhof Ski Hall. The location charges a tourist tax (€2 per person from 18 years; €1 per person from 6 years, free for under 6 years).
