A warm welcome!
You are planning a holiday in the Chiemgau Alps in a cosy flat in a small family-run house. Our holiday accommodation is located in a quiet street, just outside the village centre, but you can still reach the village centre in just 8 minutes on foot. There you will find everything for your daily needs, butchers, bakeries, two supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and a specialist bicycle shop. You will also find a tennis court and a riding centre nearby. Even the small railway station of Ruhpolding is only 8 minutes away, from here you can reach the next bigger town Traunstein and further to Munich or Salzburg.

Environment description

Ruhpolding is located in Chiemgau between Munich and Salzburg and is beautifully nestled in the surrounding mountains. The Berchtesgadener Land and the Salzburger Land can be easily reached from here within an hour.

About the host

We, your hosts Doris, born in the Rhineland, and Jürgen, born in Swabia, moved to Ruhpolding a few years ago. Little by little we have brought our family to Bavaria and today we are a happy family of four. 

terms/extras

The prices quoted do not include the visitor's tax applicable during your stay. This is 2.90 euros per adult (aged 16 and over) per night and 1.70 per child/young person aged 6-15 per night. No visitor's tax is charged for children aged 0 - 5 years. 

Arrival Description

Coming from Traunstein, drive via Siegsdorf to Ruhpolding. When you enter the village, drive through a tunnel under the village to a roundabout. Take the second exit and turn left at the traffic lights towards Zell. Drive over the Traun past the Penny supermarket and turn left after the Traun into Miesenbacherstraße.

Drive along the stream for a while, our house is a little further back on the right-hand side.
