Description
The Oberwaid welcomes you only 10 minutes by car from the picturesque St. Gallen city centre. Enjoy a breathtaking view of the Lake Constance region, our private 3-hectare park or the foothills of Eastern Swiss Alps. Our integrated private clinic combines highly specialised medical expertise with first-class hotel services. Here you can relax, recover, concentrate on your work or get well again.
All our spacious rooms are modernly furnished with hardwood floors, a seating area and a large balcony. Equipped with flat-screen TV, the standard amenities include and a bathroom with free grooming products, hairdryer, slippers and bathrobe. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the hotel.
Our Oberwaid Tau Spa is a spacious wellness area, equipped with two steam baths, a hamam, a bio sauna (65°C), an outdoor whirlpool, large indoor pool, six treatment rooms, three relaxation rooms and a private spa suite. Medical wellness certified treatments and spa treatments round off the wide-ranging wellness offer. Access to the wellness area and indoor swimming pool is free of charge.
Every morning you can enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast buffet. The cuisine of the Restaurant Seeblick is based on the awareness of high-quality food from the region and accomplished cuisine. The restaurant is spacious, flooded with light and offers a wonderful view of Lake Constance. Room service is also available on request.
The bus stop "Obere Waid" is only 150 m away. The shore of Lake Constance is 6 km away, St. Gallen-Altenrhein Airport is just 20 minutes away by car and Zurich Airport approx. 60 minutes. Shuttle service from/to St. Gallen train station can be booked separately. A parking garage (subject to availability) is available at extra charge.
The surrounding area is famous for its beautiful biking and hiking trails and E-Bikes can be rented at the reception.

Arriving by car
Travellers from Germany and Austria will arrive on the A1. Please take the Neudorf exit. Turn left at the first set of lights after the exit, then turn right at the second set of lights. You are now on Rorschacher Strasse. Follow the road until you see a large sign on the left saying Oberwaid AG– Kurhotel & Privatklinik. Turn left and park in our garage (140 spaces). Welcome to Oberwaid!
Travelers from Zurich (on the A1) should follow the same route. Please note that you have to pass an additional set of lights after the exit to be able to turn right onto Rorschacher Strasse.
Arriving by rail
Please plan your trip as far as St. Gallen Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) and let us know your arrival time and train number. We will arrange for you to be collected.
