Which positive impressions did you get?
Our whole staying was wonderful and confortable. The tourist information centre is great, as phone/online service and as face-to-face service as well. The staff is always kind, ready to help and able to speak in different languages. We could organize our staying in a couple of hours on the phone! And we could get valuable information on the spot on every kind of problem. Also the location of the offices and the opening hours are very confortable for the visitors.
We found particularly interesting and well organized the "stadtrundfahrt", the QPark system and the entrance network to museums and exhibitions. And ... the public toilets too: very clean!
The apartament (Ferienwhonung Ruth in Zschierener Strasse) was very nice and confortable as well. Very clean and well furnished, higher than what we expected (and this is not the first apartment we rent on holiday!). The owners were very friendly and always available for questions and problem solving. They cured their hospitality in every detail (coffee or tea in the kitchen cabinets; soap in the bathroom; iron and hairdryer; several books; etc.): details are always important!
The apartment is located in a very good position as many important shops are nearby (supermarkets, pharmacy, etc.).
We think that our family will come to Dresden again ... very soon!
Which negative Impressions did you get?
None.
Apart - if we may dare to say - from a very unpolite old lady outside the main door of a church (evangelish-lutheran). Keeping the doors closed, she told us - in a very rude manner - to "shut up and go away", because an organ concert was about to start (2nd of June at 3 p.m.)!
Unfortunately (for her), it was written outside - both in English and in German - that visitors "are admitted as far as they try to limit their noise and to observe the silence". We could understand both languages and as a matter of fact we are normally used to do so: we come from Rome (Italy), the city of huge churches and famous monuments, where thousand of millions tourists come on holiday! And we know very well what "tourist noise" is!
However we preferred to let it go (and to let her go): we will visit the church next time.
No problem: stupid people are everywhere in the world ... unfortunately!
This event will not change our very, very good impression on Dresden and its hospitality!!!
