Das Backhäusle, der Name sagt es, ist das ehemalige Backhaus des im 18. Jahrhundert erbauten Jockelsbauernhofes, einem ehemaligen typischen Schwarzwaldbauernhof in Alleinlage in Alpirsbach-Ehlenbogen, einem von Einzelhöfen geprägten Schwarzwaldtal.

Die alte Bausubstanz, Bruchsandstein im Erdgeschoss und Fachwerkaufsatz im Obergeschoss sowie der alte Holzbackofen blieben erhalten und verleihen dem Haus seinen einzigartigen Charme.

Das Backhaus befindet sich auf einem großen Wiesengrundstück umgeben von alten Obstbäumen.
