In the immediate vicinity of the Golf- und Landclub Ahaus e.V., the country-style holiday flat is the ideal starting point for playing the golf course with its 4*9-hole course. The golf course can be reached on foot in just 10 minutes. Some holes are even directly opposite our holiday flat.
Wonderful cycle tours can also be started from here. For example, via the Flamingo Route or the 100 Castles Route. Many junction routes can also be reached directly, and the Dutch border region is also very beautiful.
Hikes can be experienced close to the border through the Zwillbrocker Venn nature reserve (guided tours to the flamingos possible), the Witte Venn (grazing of highland cattle) and the Dutch Buurser or Haaksbergener Vennen.
Our village of Alstätte is well equipped with everyday necessities (grocery stores, bakeries, butchers, pharmacy, bicycle shop, banks). There are also various restaurants and cafés in the village centre and on the outskirts.
The towns of Ahaus and Gronau or Enschede, Haaksbergen and Winterswijk in the Netherlands with their weekly markets, museums, cafés/restaurants and "shopping miles" are also worth a visit
