In the solitude of the mountains King Ludwig II built two of his most beautiful residences: Hohenschwangau Castle - today better known as Neuschwanstein - and Linderhof Castle. With its unique architecture and idyllic location, Neuschwanstein Castle, also known as a fairytale castle, attracts visitors from all over the world. Picturesquely enthroned above the Hohenschwangau district, it overlooks Füssen and Lake Forggen. Procedure:
- Start of the tour: 8:30 am
- 1st stop around 10:00 a.m. Linderhof Castle, there is then the castle tour (duration approx. 25 minutes) and the guests then have approx. 10 minutes to look at the gardens.
- Onward journey to Oberammergau
- 2nd stop Oberammergau, approx. 50 min stay
- 3rd stop Neuschwanstein: guests have about 45 min for lunch/photos etc. Then guests walk about 45-60 min to the castle and also have time to look at the Marienbrücke. The guided tour of the castle in Neuschwanstein takes about 35 minutes.
- Departure from Neuschwanstein around 4:30 p.m.
- Arrival in Munich approx. 7:00 p.m.
