Furnished in a traditional country-house style, this small, family-run 4-star hotel is located at the entrance to Melk, within 500 m of the Danube River, Melk Abbey, and the A1 motorway. Hotel Wachau includes an award-winning restaurant and offers free Wi-Fi. The restaurant Wachauer Stube was awarded 14 points by the Gault Millau and is also recommended by other restaurant guides. Specialities include fish and organic beef dishes, as well as game specialities from Melk Abbey’s hunting grounds. Guests can also dine on the Wachau Hotel’s terrace in fair weather. Lovingly arranged flowers and candles, together with paintings from the region, pleasant fragrances and fresh colours, create a cosy atmosphere. Free parking is available on site. An underground car park can be used at an additional cost.
