Short Characteristics
This small hostel in the heart of Dresden's bohemian pub quarter is as warm and welcoming as an old friend. As the name suggests, it actually feels more like a private home thanks to delightful hosts who genuinely care about their guests and have created thoughtful and ingenious design throughout.
Each room is splashed in a rainbow of colours and has its own theme - whimsical to wacky - reflecting the vision of a different artist. Choices include the Egyptian Room, the Snail Room, the 3D Wonderland (don't go there with a boozy brain) and the Cave Room. All have a cosy feel thanks to nice, wooden beds with bright linen and individual nightstands topped with small reading lamps. Self-caterers can boil a cup of ramen or fix entire meals in the fully equipped kitchen. The heart and soul of the operation, though, is the cosy lounge, where you can meet fellow travellers, listen to music, borrow a book or play board games. You can also help yourself to coffee and tea, surf the Internet and even burn your digital photos onto a CD. Free bicycles are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
