An immersive exhibition:
The audiovisual art exhibition Monet, Van Gogh, Klimt - From Light to Glory illuminates over 150 works by the three masters in the heart of Dresden's Old Town. Projected in high resolution and accompanied by a specially curated sound composition - featuring melodies from Smetana to Beethoven - the masterpieces unfold their full impact in an intense audiovisual experience.
The exhibition takes the audience on an impressive journey through three artistic eras: from Impressionism to Post-Impressionism to Art Nouveau:
• Claude Monet - the external light: water lilies, cathedrals, and gardens in the shimmering light of the moment.
• Vincent van Gogh - the internal light: color as a mirror of the soul - intense, solitary, luminous.
• Gustav Klimt - the synthetic splendor: gold, ornament, and symbolism between beauty, eroticism, and eternity.
The exhibition transforms the entire space high above Dresden's Altmarkt into a monumental, walk-in screen. For 45 minutes, visitors are invited to immerse themselves deeply in the visual worlds - a visual concert of form, movement, and music.
This immersive exhibition concept was developed over two years with the goal of making art tangible in a new way.
