"café mathilda" is a fair organic coffee from Darmstadt, sourced from Nicaragua since 2002. It corresponds to EU cultivation guidelines, is ecological and produced under fair conditions. The project follows the "Action Plan for the 21st Century" (Agenda 21) and promotes local initiatives to solve global environmental problems. Sheep farming in the plantations enables organic coffee cultivation, protects the environment and farmers' health. Sustainable agriculture creates jobs and prevents rural exodus.
