Enchanting Schnoor (for groups)
Guided tour for groups

Description
The Schnoor is Bremen's oldest, smallest and somewhat enchanted quarter. In its narrow alleyways, between tiny, crooked houses, you can take a leisurely stroll. Hidden behind the facades are stories from Bremen's everyday life and from centuries past. With small stores full of curiosities and quaint cafés and restaurants, the Schnoorviertel invites you to linger. Embark on a journey into the past and be amazed by the narrowest alley in Bremen, curious characters, the smallest house in the city and much more.
Take a walk through the Schnoorviertel and get to know old Bremen. The first evidence of the construction of a Franciscan monastery here dates back to the 13th century. Later, ropemakers and fishermen made a living here for many generations. The Schnoor is full of stories.
Explore the so-called Katzengang, Bremen's narrowest alleyway with a width of only around 50 cm. You will also find out who once lived and worked here and why the Schnoor residents had to pay a toilet fee even in the Middle Ages.
