Bremen's Town Hall with its Weser-style Renaissance façade, is associated with fascinating stories and thrilling sagas. Historic and traditional events still take place there today. Civic receptions, the oldest Freemason's banquet in the world, concerts and many other events are held in the magnificent surroundings of the Upper Hall and the banqueting hall. The stony eyes of the Roland statue look out with pride over Bremen's Hanseatic history of liberty and independence and in 2004, Bremen's Town Hall and the Roland statue were even awarded UNESCO World Heritage status. Note
Opening times can change at short notice if the town hall is needed for official receptions, council sessions or other events. Saturdays and on Sundays/Holidays you can visit the town hall only with an additional security person (only for groups more than 16 persons, additional costs: € 80.00). Backpacks and shopping bags are not permitted on the tour of the town hall for security reasons. They can be left, at your own risk, in the unattended cloakroom in the foyer during the guided tour.

This tour of the old town can also be adapted to the needs of people with reduced mobility at any time.
