Our historic hotel is located in the rural climatic health resort directly under the castle of Brannenburg. It is an ideal starting point for numerous sports activities and excursions for families or active people.In the morning we offer you a rich breakfast. In our Schloßwirt you have the opportunity to enjoy regional cuisine during the general opening hours, which is complemented with culinary delights from other regions and countries.The impressive buildingThe Schloßwirt is, as the name suggests, a house steeped in history. From the 1840s, Brannenburg was for a long time a stronghold of Munich citizens. Thus it happened that an artists' colony developed and went in and out of the inn. Some things are still reminiscent of that time, for example the names of the guest rooms and rooms.Der SchloßwirtSome things have changed since that time, of course. We, the Pothast family, are the new tenants and invite you to get to know our "Schloßwirt". In our restaurant you can enjoy regional cuisine, which is complemented with culinary delicacies from other regions and countries. During the summer months there will be different action days and on Fridays, when the weather is nice, the Brannenburg music band will play in the music pavilion right next to our house. So you can enjoy the brass band music from our beer garden.
Environment description
For leisure activities, the Wendelstein rack railroad is available in the immediate vicinity of the house, and in summer and winter you can go on extensive hikes around the Wendelstein, while a sports playground and skate park is located next door. The Sudelfeld ski area can be reached quickly by car. The cities of Rosenheim , Kufstein and Lake Chiemsee can be reached quickly and easily thanks to the good freeway connection, gladly also by train.
