Open space dominates the layout of the rooms. The bathroom becomes part of the bedroom through glass walls, connected by a sideboard - it doubles as a washbasin. The color palette of neutral, achromatic yet warm grey and white tones is interrupted by colorful elements, with hand-painted tiles and washbasins. Each room has 2.60 meter high triple-glazed windows that reach down to the floor. All bathrooms are equipped with underfloor heating. The furnishings are made up of handcrafted furniture and design classics in keeping with the period in which the hotel was built: Vitra Eames Organic Chairs & Plastic Side Chairs, Gubi Bestlite & Artemide lamps, natural oak parquet flooring, LED TV as multimedia device with HDMI and Apple device, indirect lighting and much more. Instead of conventional air conditioning, an intelligent ventilation system with filtered air ensures a pleasant room climate.

Description
This stylish hotel is a 7-storey building in central Hanover, 300 metres from Hanover Main Station. The Smartcity Designhotel offers a 24-hour cocktail bar and spacious rooms with panoramic views.Newly opened in August 2012, the bright rooms and suites at the Smartcity Hannover feature high-quality furniture from renowned designers. All rooms include a modern bathroom, and a flat-screen TV with free Sky satellite channels.
A hearty breakfast buffet is served daily from 06:30 until 10:30. Classic Italian cuisine is served in the spacious l´Osteria restaurant.
The Smartcity is 200 metres from the Staatsoper Hannover opera house. It takes just 10 minutes to reach the Hanover Exhibition Centre by public transport.
The hotel has an underground parking garage. The 24-hour reception offers rental bikes for exploring Hanover.
