Dear Visitor and Guest,

we kindly would like to inform you that in 2017 and 2018 construction work will be done at our levee / dike along the coast side. Due to that the beach and the attached swimming area will not be open for our visitors and guests. However, the tourist bureau and the commune Dagebüll will do everything to organize your holidays in Dagebüll as comfortable as possible.

The beaches in Schlüttsiel and Südwesthörn as well as the heated open air swimming pool in Fahretoft provide alternative swimming opportunities.

The construction work aims to strengthen and to heightening the levee / dike. Besides that the beach area will improve and become more comfortable.

The State owned Agency for Coastal and Marine Protection is responsible for the construction work. During the summer months visitors will have the opportunity to visit the levee / dike construction side and to familiarize themselves with the importance of coastal protection for visitors and citizens of coastal areas.
