The Waldhotel Schatten has a rich and exciting history, dating back to the 18th century. In the Stuttgart region and above that it is known for his former racetrack Solitude, which runs, bending in an s-curve, directly in front of the main door and let every heart of a car race lover beat faster in all the Solitude-revivals in the past years.

Directions for public transport

From the main train station you can take the S1 „Herrenberg „ or S2 „Filderstadt“ o r as well S3 „Flughafen/Messe“ till the stop “Vaihingen”.
In Vaihingen is a bus with the number “81” says “Büsnau”. Which you need to get in and you get out at the bus at the stop “Am Schattwald”.
Out of the Bus you walk straight ahead 100 meters right under the little tunnel and right on a forest path 150 meters than you will see the hotel.
The whole travel from the main train station to the hotel is about 30 min.

Directions
From Munich/Singen:
From motorway A8 or A81 exit at the junction Autobahnkreuz Stuttgart to the A3891/B14 direction Stuttgart. Then B14 to the exit Magstadt (roundabaout), follow the road for 2km. You will see a sign advising you to turn left (roundabout), direction Büsnau/ Sindelfingen. After 200m turn right into our parking area.

From Karlsruhe/Heilbronn:
From motorway A8 or A81 at the junction Autobahnkreuz Leonberg, take the exit Leonberg. At the traffic light turn right direction Stuttgart, follow the road for 5,5km. At the roundabout take the first exit direction Sindelfingen/ Böblingen, after 200m turn right into our parking area.
