Art Nouveau in Darmstadt's Martinsviertel

At the beginning of the 20th century, there was a real building boom in the Martinsviertel. At the same time, Mathildenhöhe became the center of Art Nouveau. Numerous builders and architects in the Martinsviertel also emulated this model. Even today, the resulting façade decorations bear witness to this spirit of optimism.
