"The ABC is directly across the street from the Chur train station and a short 2 blocks from Old Town. It doesn't get much more convenient. It's very clean with all modern amenities. The staff was friendly and informative and although our rooms were not ready (at 11a I didn't expect them to be), we stored our luggage securely behind the front desk and explored Old Town. Breakfast was well stocked with a wide choice and friendly servers. Would absolutely stay there again if I was visiting Chur."

"The location is excellent, the room is cozy, the breakfast is embarrassing. I arrived at the dining room at 0900. There were no eggs, no bacon, the bread was empty. The kitchen worker told me that it would take 15 minutes to make eggs. A hotel that is not cheap, even an expensive one that respects itself, cannot have food stands empty. I paid for breakfast and set off without eating!"

"I liked the warmth and friendliness of all the staff. I appreciated the fact that we asked for, and were given, the same room (406) as on our previous visit. I liked the calm efficiency of the way the hotel is run. Apart from Chur being an interesting town, it is an excellent base for some spectacular train journeys, and the ABC is in the perfect position, close to the railway station but unaffected by the noise of trains arriving and departing. This was our second visit to the ABC (the first was in 2022); hopefully it won't be our last."

"ABC Chur is a lovely modern hotel, and we were pleased with our stay. That said the amount of hi-tech in the room, whether it is TV, AC, bathroom fixtures is disconcerting. We had to get explanations as to how to work lights, and TV, and from out point of view, neither the toilet or the sink drained adequately. As Americans we are not in favor of the open showers, but understand that that may be becoming a European standard. Again, we were at the hotel during the 2025 heat wave, but it is also disconcerting to an American to have a limit on the AC temp. That is not what we are used to."

"Overall a very pleasant experience. Clean, comfortable room, good breakfast. No meals served other than breakfast but there are plenty of eateries in Chur, albeit that for a lot of them it is necessary to walk up the hill. Our only complaint is that our room, and that of another couple who were waiting to occupy their room, was not available until about 3:30pm. The receptionist said the delay was due to the phone system being changed (we couldn't understand why that would affect getting into the room; but when we did get into the room there was a bowl of fruit, don't know whether that is standard or whether it was because of the delay). Very comfortable bed; good shower."

"Had a wonderful experience at ABC Quality in Chur. We had traveled from Varenna, Italy to Chur so it was a long day for us. Front desk (Ava?) was so accommodating and helpful and she also recommended a restaurant for us. The room was excellent and we appreciated the personal touches including the welcoming fruit basket. Very comfortable bed. Highly recommended and will frequent again if we return to Chur. "Sadly my husband &. I only had one night with ABC but we recommend it highly. It was so close to the station and yet so quiet. The room was such a lovely stylish design and had everything you would need. Being English we drink tea so they very kindly added a kettle for our use to the impressive coffee machine. The fridge was a really useful addition and the shower was glorious, such good water pressure. On arrival the receptionist helped us out with a fab restaurant, booking a table for us and being helpful in many ways. Such good service! Their breakfast buffet was outstanding, the quality and variety of the food on offer was impressive as was the super way it was all laid out. The waiters/waitresses provided perfect and discreet service. Finally I foolishly left my journal behind there, they tried to email us before we caught the train, but unfortunately we did not pick this up. So later that day, after a phone call they were happy to package it up and post it to me. It arrived at our home 2 days after they sent it. Just brilliant. (We paid postage obviously). We have already recommended the hotel to friends."

"We only stayed for one day (en route to take the train over the Bernina Pass to Italy) but we loved everything about our stay at the ABC Hotel in Chur. The best thing was the personal welcome and hospitality from all of the staff, but the room, beds and food were all excellent. The best hotel that we have stayed in for some time."

"This is a wonderful hotel and the staff is quite nice and knowledgeable. However, we could not get the air conditioning to cool the room sufficiently. Other than that, the experience was amazing. The city of Chur was a delight, and I would recommend this hotel regardless of the issues we had with the A/C."

"Couldn’t fault the stay. Great welcome and friendly service throughout. Clean to the point of being sterile!! Excellent bathrooms with very good shower pressure. Large rooms with all the gadgets and amenities. Yeah there’s the odd crack and trivial cosmetic items, but overall wow. And the breakfast with cooked eggs - yes please. And does food & water taste amazing here? Yup!! In fact I will be coming back to Chur and stay a bit longer & explore. Will defo be staying here and so should you. Don’t even bother checking elsewhere."

"If you visit Chur please stay at the ABC Hotel! Wonderful service, beautiful room, bathroom that has the best shower in any hotel I have stayed in worldwide. Breakfast selection was huge, service from the staff in the breakfast room was quick and friendly. You get a guest card for Chur and the reception staff are amazing. Location perfect - right across the road from the train station and an easy walk everywhere."
