Hiking combination "Moorwälder Ibergeregg"
Description
The day trip to the moor forests of Ibergeregg begins with a ride on the Rotenflue cable car. The hike from the Rotenflue to the Ibergeregg pass summit takes about an hour. The Old Schwyz Trail now leads through a mosaic of open moorland, pastures and forests with wet soils. In 2019, the Swiss Landscape Conservation Foundation named the moor forests of Ibergeregg Landscape of the Year. The hike through the unique moor forests ends after around 75 minutes in Oberiberg. From there the bus takes you back to the starting point in Rickenbach.
Before or during the hike, linger with a view of the Schwyz valley basin and the Ybrig mountains at the included coffee break on the Rotenflue or Ibergeregg.
