Hiking combination "Moorwälder Ibergeregg"

The day trip to the moorland forests of Ibergeregg begins with a ride on the Rotenflue railway. The hike from Rotenflue to the Ibergeregg pass takes around an hour. The Alte Schwyzerweg trail now leads through a mosaic of open moorland, pastures and forests with moist and wet soils. In 2019, the Swiss Foundation for Landscape Conservation recognised the Ibergeregg moorland forests as Landscape of the Year. The hike through the unique moorland forests ends after around 75 minutes in Oberiberg. From there, the bus takes you back to the starting point in Rickenbach. 

Linger before or during the hike with a view of the Schwyz valley basin and the Ybrig mountains during the included coffee break on the Rotenflue or Ibergeregg.
