"I booked the hotel to stay with my family and we had to wait outside the hotel at midnight for more than 30 mins. We reached the hotel around 11.30 and to our surprise there was no one in reception stating check in automated using the check in machine. When we entered the booking reference it kept saying invalid ref. There was an emergency contact no number mentioned in the hotel but no one picked the calls. We were stranded with an infant and a 5 year old not knowing what to do. I reached out to hotels.com support as the booking was done through their website. They also tried to reach the hotel support team but did not get any response and asked me to raise complaint sharing me the details to be sent by email. And the details shared by support team had the correct reference no and luckily after all the struggle I was able to check in to my room. The reference no received by email from B&B was completely wrong. Also when I went to the room lights were not working in bathroom and had to use my phone torch. Again no one to reach out to at that time."

"I had a really nice stay at this hotel, 4 nights in April 2025. It’s a lively and busy place, yet I always managed to find a good table and enjoy my meals in peace. The atmosphere at breakfast sometimes reminded me of a youth hostel – casual and bustling. My room was lovely: friendly, clean, and comfortable, with a great bathroom that I truly appreciated. The breakfast was really good. One small downside was that the corridors and stairways were often cluttered with cleaning equipment throughout the day, which slightly took away from the otherwise peaceful ambiance. I also noticed that the staff, while always kind and helpful, seemed a bit stretched thin at times. Overall, though, I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel has a welcoming feel, and I would definitely return. Thank you to the team for making it a pleasant experience!"

"We stay at this hotel a great deal and always really enjoy it. BRILLIANT reception staff, who are always polite and frendly and go to great lengths to make our stay pleasant. Most impressive! Breakfast is very tasty, the parking is excellent (other than that we were told that it would shortly start costing 10 euros per night which is a lot!). I can unreservedly recommend this hotel."

"Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience at this hotel. The cleaning service needs to be improved. As soon as we got to the room we noticed a very bad smell in the badroom , like if someone used it right before. The floor wasn't clean, they did not vacuumed the room well. The breakfast was ok. In general I expected a better service for more than 100 Euros per night."

"The hotel is conveniently located if you travel by car, with lots of free parking and the tram to the centre just next door. Checking in was easy and quick, staff spoke English too and gave us information about the tram. The room is simple but has all you need, it is clean and it worked very well for our one night stay. It was very warm even with the heating off. We thought breakfast was too expensive compared to the room price so we went to a bakery nearby for coffee and pastry."

"The room was nice and I have no complaints about the decor. It was easy to adjust the room temperature so that I was comfortable and the beds were comfortable too. Overall, the room was clean but the washroom in my unit smelled very strong like cat urine. I asked them to clean it and they did, however, I think the rooms should be cleaned properly between customers without needing to be asked. The breakfast at this hotel was the worst I've seen so far while travelling Europe. There were no hot food options, only cereal, brown bananas, and cold boiled eggs. For the price of the breakfast, I would expect to see options like pancakes, scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, etc. rather than an assortment of snacks. I got a refund for the breakfast and went down the street to a brunch spot that was amazing for the same price. Customer service was good and considering it was the most inexpensive hotel option with good ratings, I would probably stay there again but its just a place to sleep, I wouldn't count on eating there or spending more time at the hotel than I have to."

"The hotel is clean, has easy parking, the rooms have everything is needed. It is good value for the price. The only negative note is that the reception closes quite early, around 21.30, and after there is no one who may help the guests. I met a person who had an important problem in the room, it was 22:30, he did not found anyone to speak to."

"Sent these emails to the hotel 5.7.2024 on our first night, but never received a reply so I’m posting them as a review instead. Email 1.: “First time ever at a B&B hotel today. I noticed the coffee machine close to the reception. Checked closely and saw no mention of any price so I assumed it was free like in any other place with coffee in the lobby. When I was about to start drinking my espresso I heard someone talking to me. It was some grumpy guy at the reception who had woken up and wanted me to pay. I was amazed but didn’t want to fight over two euros. I did ask why the price is not displayed anywhere. He said he doesn’t know. Why should I then know I need to pay for something that is often free in other hotels? Is it really legal in Germany to sell something without displaying a price? At least you need to put up a sign with the price and telling that payment is collected at the reception.” Email 2.: “ Hi again, The guy from the reception left in his car around 20.25. Nobody is at the reception now even though many signs stating it should be open until 22.00. I would have wanted a towel since we only have three large towels for the four of us. Luckily I found a cart with clean towels and was able to help myself. Next thing tomorrow I will start cleaning the filters of the ventilation and aircon. Please see pictures attached. Furthermore, the sheets in the bunk beds were not correctly placed, but instead just thrown double folded on the mattresses. The mattress toppers are completely missing from the bunk beds.” Furthermore half of the coat hangers were missing from the room. Regarding the non-complimentary coffee, the reception guy also said “we are not a five star hotel!”. How funny to arrive at the next hotel on our itinerary, Ibis Styles in Basel, a two star hotel, and find a nice espresso machine in lobby with what? Oh yes, free coffee."

"My stay at B&B Hotels was great! The bathroom was very clean and nice. I liked how they care about the environment with noise and thermal isolated rooms, and cool designs saving water and electricity. The beds were super comfy, and I had good sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome. The breakfast seemed a bit pricey at first, but it was totally worth it - tasty and filling.
