Alexander Beinert and his team have been welcoming guests in the spacious hotel lobby since the reopening on May 29, 2014. After check-in, guests can visit the hotel's Winery29 or fireplace lounge for a relaxing start to their visit. Small but exclusive: All 39 non-smoking rooms have been designed with every kind of guest in mind, with everything from comfortable beds for the perfect night sleep to enough space for getting work done or simply enjoying some well-earned "me-time". Comfortable box-spring beds with high-quality, elegant bedding invite you to kick back and relax. Large windows, individually controlled air conditioning, and a spacious work surface are just a few examples of what makes the rooms at The Alex so special. Begin your day in Freiburg with a refreshing shower thanks to the all-glass rain showers available in every room. We are also happy to provide you with parking: 4 outdoor parking spots and 5 spaces in the parking garage are available. We recommend reserving parking in advance. The parking garage is unfortunately not suitable for very large cars.

Directions

By shuttle bus: Take the shuttle bus directly to Freiburg (main train station). From the main entrance, go left onto Bismarkallee. After 300 m, go straight through the intersection and continue going straight. Cross over to the right-hand side of the road, enter the parking lot, and follow the pedestrian path for about 100 m. Our hotel will be on the left-hand side. By car: Follow the A5 towards Karlsruhe and take exit 62 (Freiburg Mitte). Take the fifth exit "Stadtmitte / Hauptbahnhof" towards the main train station. At the main station, drive straight at the intersection and turn right onto the next street (Albertstrasse). Take another right onto Eckerstraße. After about 200 m, you'll reach Rheinstraße, where you'll find our hotel on your left-hand side. Please keep in mind that you need a green emissions sticker to drive within the Freiburg city limits. Provided your car qualifies for a green sticker, the City of Freiburg will send you one by mail at least 10 days prior to departure. To order one, simply send a copy of your vehicle registration by mail or as a scanned document by email to buergeramt@stadt.freiburg.de. You will receive an invoice in the mail for EUR 6.50 as a processing fee. By train: Our hotel is just a short walk from the main train station. From the main entrance, go left onto Bismarkallee.
