"Lovely big room, comfortable bed and pillows. Only down side, expensive restaurant and breakfasts. Breakfast, though, on the one occasion I used same, was spectacular. Dinner was a big miss, sorry. If prices were more reasonable, the restaurant might be more utilised. I was the only person there."

"I was there for 2 nights for a business trip. The room, service, food were very good. Everything was spotless clean. I only had a problem with the shower. The design is so badly done that after 1 shower the whole bathroom was filled with water, so I had an indoor pool in my room! Fortunately there was also a tub that I could use on the 2nd day."

"Spacious, modern room with excellent bath and amenities. Service was friendly, helpful and attentive. We hosted a small family reunion with great results. Everyone was extremely pleased with the food and service. My only complaint, and it is a minor one, concerns the room lighting. The desk lamp had a power plug with no corresponding outlet and the areas where one really wanted light - the desk and bathroom mirror - were strangely underlit. But, overall, an excellent experience."

"The staff were kind and hospitable. The hotel is beautiful and has a stylish bar where we enjoyed our welcome drink on the house. I did try room service which was delicious for breakfast. The only issue I encountered was that there were times when no one answered the call to the front desk or concierge. It just rings and rings with no voicemail or redirection to someone who could help."

"Amazing stay thanks to duty manager Mr. Umut Mahmoud!… We stayed two weeks in this hotel and every thing was great because of this brother from Iraq. Every time we had problem we called Mr. Mahmoud from he is telephone number and informed him and he resolved our problem immadaitely. He is the best manager we meet. If you come to Sofitel Munich you must ask for manager Mr. Umut Mahmoud for best stay without any problem. We felt we are like home. The hotel very beautiful and at very good location. "Breakfast buffet was wonderful! Loved the omelet bar! The bartenders in the bar made some if the best cocktails we have had. Nice and friendly and very talented mixologists! Rooms were nice and comfortable. The location to the train station and in walking distance to Springfest/Oktoberfest and to old town makes this the perfect place to stay. When back in Munich, would most definitely stay here again!"

"Generally an enjoyable stay. Location is good, although at night walking alone I would exercise caution as there is a lot of loitering of youths around the train station next door to hotel. The hotel is unfortunately completely understaffed. So don’t expect prompt service at the bar / breakfast or reception desk. Getting a table or getting a refill of drinks at breakfast is exhausting. To make matters worse the breakfast area is very cramped. To compound the issues , when you take into consideration the price there charging for breakfast. ISA bar - lovely area but two staff members attempting to cover an entire bar and sitting area. Expect to be sitting with used plates and glasses for some time."

"My wife and I were on our honeymoon and our stay at Sofitel Munich Bayerpost was a highlight of the entire trip. The staff were so wonderful, especially the young man who checked us in. I believe his name is Victor, and he went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was perfect with a handwritten note wishing us a happy honeymoon along with roses and champagne. "I recently stayed at your property for two nights with my family, occupying room 803. While we appreciated certain aspects of our stay, we encountered several issues that detracted from our overall experience, particularly in comparison to the exemplary service typically observed at other 5-star Accor hotels in France and Switzerland. Upon arrival, the check-in process was notably protracted and lacked the personal touch expected at a hotel of your standing. Unfortunately, there was no concierge or manager visibly available to assist guests. Moreover, my status as a 'Brilliant' loyalty member was not acknowledged, and no benefits such as early check-in or room upgrades were offered. The absence of clear directions within the hotel was also disappointing. We were not informed about the location of our welcome drink voucher, the elevator, or other amenities. The room, while generally satisfactory, had cleanliness issues with noticeable stains on a chair and inadequate soundproofing that allowed noise from neighboring rooms to disturb our sleep. Additionally, I had to request extra water bottles after departure even though my vehicle was parked in your hotel's lot. I also experienced delays in service response, including a lengthy wait to resolve an issue with a wallet I inadvertently left in the safe. It took me 1 hour to get an answer from a receptionist (phone), and 1 day via email. On a positive note, we were pleased to find complimentary wine in our room upon arrival, which was a thoughtful gesture. However, the provision of only two pairs of slippers was insufficient for a family, and acquiring an additional pair for my son proved unnecessarily challenging. Furthermore, the requirement to complete the check-in process again at the desk despite having done an online check-in was perplexing and inconvenient. I hope this feedback is helpful for you to enhance your service quality. We look forward to seeing improvements that align more closely with the high standards expected from your prestigious brand."

"Although the checkin process was very smooth, friendly and professional, it went downhill from there…The television did not work, the tissue dispenser had 1 tissue left. We didn’t have time to call the front desk to fix these items due to having to attend an outing with friends and did not want people in our room without us being there. THEN…in the evening after showering and wanting to blow dry my hair, the dryer didn’t work….The trash dispenser in the bathroom was awkward, clunky and poorly designed. Again it was too late in the evening to get these items fixed. The worst was the nespresso coffee maker not working in the morning. I expected more of this hotel. Please do your guests a favor and ensure everything works properly and simple things like tissues being stocked. It makes a difference between what could have been a great stay versus a very disappointing one…"

"The hotel is in a great location right next to the central station. The room we had was small but well designed to maximize its space. The big negative came after we checked out and left Munich. We left some precious items in the safe. While the hotel was great about mailing the items they found to us, unfortunately the most valuable item went missing. Clearly, someone on the cleaning staff took it, so be very cautious about leaving anything valuable around."

"We had booked Superior room but your front office in charge says upgrading to luxury room. The room was dingy no natural light, terrible bathroom with floor seemed not cleaned for weeks. We were there for one night and with business to attend, wanting to change room etc is such a waste of time. If a decent room was not available, he should have said so we could have left luggage and moved on for work. Overall terrible room. We had an early morning flight, our breakfast was included, it was a nice take away packed. The only consolation. Otherwise with renovations we even had no energy to even walk across to use the sauna. Had we known it’s not operating and hotel under renovation, we definitely would not have booked. Terrible experience."

"The service at the hotel was terrible. We arrived late one evening and had booked two rooms. They probably gave us the worst possible rooms you could find. Right across from the train tracks. We ordered room service, and the person who delivered refused to drop some of the food off in the other room. Then he basically just pushed the cart into our room and left. Got up the next morning to use the shower. Turned out the trash from the previous guest, including a used pantyliner was in there as a gift for us I guess. Will never stay there again."

"we had 2 x studio rooms which were very old and tired. One was too hot and the other too cold, air conditioning made no difference. The spa was closed (no notification of this). Repeatedly asked for the broken hair dryer to be replaced, the same for basics like milk and tea bags. Very slow service. When we spent over 12000 Euros over 5 nights, the service did not match the price point. On a positive note, the lady who served us in the bar was the most attentive of our entire stay."
